Description
Eduserv provides free technology information for the general public, governments at national and local levels, as well as education and health sectors. The initiative began its development in 1980 in the UK and consolidated as a non-profit organization in 1999 to ensure that the services were directed to the benefit of the public and not to the profits of a private sector.
This initiative helps to cut prices in government departments and to improve public services through ICT development with cloud management. It also supports charitable organizations, improving their infrastructure to contribute to the achievement of their missions, such as mobile assistance for the British Red Cross or the development of a victim support website.
Dozens of public sector organizations in the UK have Eduserv as their ISP. Eduserv designs cost-cutting programs, such as the one carried out for the Bristol City Council advised by a team of experts in security issues, systems integration and hosting options.
A CHEST (Combined Higher Education Software Team) Agreements were generated in the field of education. Their function is, among others, to offer specially negotiated licenses for eJournals, eBooks, databases and learning material, as well as geographical, statistical, mathematical, administrative and communicative tools.
To facilitate the subscribers handling of content was created the OpenAthens service, an identity and access system which is used by more than 250,000 medical clinics to access blogs and other resources in the health sector.
Eduserv IT offers to businesses that want to move to the cloud no-cost services, more sustainable and efficient hosting options, IT analysis and IT consulting.
The Hybrid Cloud service helps to save important or sensitive information in the UK security cloud and at the same time allows to use a larger dimension and range of services in AWS Hyperscale Public Cloud.
