Description
OPI Open Intelligence is a platform of Participatory Intelligence that allows access to millions of public data on economy and society in Mexico, making it easier to visualize and download data. Its tools of consultation facilitate research on data related to topics such as demography, economy and health, among others. OPI has a team of specialized data scientists, as well as a team evaluating the context of the project, interpreting relevant data and conducting market research to assess the target population.
Customers can request the services of OPI to analyze the factors associated with the implementation of public policies, determining the expenditure, the possibility of under-spending and the risk rating according to the project to be conducted. This process is carried out through three stages. The first stage, of design and planning, gathers average data from surveys and helps develop models for the efficient use of resources. The second phase is the management and verification. It implements a comprehensive system of financial management and monitoring as well as a mobile application that allows the physical verification of activities in the area. The final phase corresponds to evaluation and transparency, where the real impact is measured through socio-demographic variables and transparency portals are designed.
The data sources are provided from mexican entities such as the Economic Databank of the National Institute of Statistics, Geography and Informatics, the National Population and Housing Census, the National Statistical Directory of Economic Units, the Index of Criminality and Violence, National Survey of Household Expenditure, the National Survey of Occupation and Employment, and the National Health Information System.
The functionalities of the platform are: selection of the place, class and variable, choropleth maps, historical behavior of variables, social data represented in rates, and ranking of geographical units in bar charts. The data can be downloaded in csv format.
