3D Printing includes projects related to computer-controlled processes used to produce a three-dimensional object by layering materials. These objects are modelled in a computer, then printed using diferent a 3D printer with different materials.

DIY Biology includes projects related to the meeting of individuals specialized and non-specialized in biotechnologies and life sciences who are developing research and production projects together towards designing lab prototypes that could be reproduced at no cost, free from patent restrictions.

DIY Drones includes projects related to the meeting of individuals specialized and non-specialized in electronics who are developing research and production projects with Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that could be reproduced at no cost, free from patent restrictions.

DIY Electronics includes projects related to the meeting of individuals specialized and non-specialized in electronics who are developing research and production projects together towards designing electronics prototypes that could be reproduced at no cost, free from patent restrictions.

DIY Mechanics includes projects related to the meeting of individuals specialized and non-specialized in mechanics who are developing research and production projects together towards designing mechanical prototypes that could be reproduced at no cost, free from patent restrictions.

DIY Weapons includes projects related to homemade weapons prototypes assembled with 3D printers and distributed under the open source hardware model, or homemade weapons produced with any other technology, whose design and manufacturing process are published for their reproduction.

Fablab (Fabrication Laboratory) includes projects related to small-scale workshops offering digital manufacturing tools such as 3D printers or computer-controlled laser cutters for the purpose of doing almost anything, including products generally limited to mass industrial production.

Hackerspace includes projects related to community-operated physical places, where people share their interest in tinkering with technology, meet and work on their projects, and learn from each other.

Makers includes projects related to the so-called maker movement or culture, prioritizing DIY practices as a production model for handmade products following traditional techniques (such as embroidery), or with digital manufaturing tools (such as 3D printers). Production includes publishing the production process as a kind of distribution model where people replicate the product with local supplies and tools at no cost and free from patent restrictions.

Medialab (Media Laboratory) includes projects related to physical research and interdisciplinary production facilities, in and out of academia, where communications, art, science, technology and design meet.
