I will not be window dressing for a 3D printing trade show.

If women don't have a pivotal voice at an event, panel or exhibition,I'm not participating. I will not participate in hackathons that exploit talent for free ideas. I have a right to be paid formy creative and technical work. I take a stand against projects that exploit people for the sake of money. I oppose startups and projects that brainlessly throw technology at a problem: technology often creates as many problems as it solves. The world’s key problems won’t be fixed by simply adding 3D printing, open source and the Arduino. I take responsibility for making objects and the impact they have on people, society and the environment. The term‘ maker’ no longer belongs to Maker Media – the organization will become irrelevant or die if it continues down a gadget-oriented‘toys for boys’path.
