Description

Descargables (Downloadable) is a project of the Digital Culture Center that seeks to promote the creation and dissemination of digital literature through collaborative production laboratories for downloadable books, a blog-magazine and pieces written by writers, animators, programmers and collaborators from various disciplines whose link with technology is reflected in modes of creation, themes, language and experimental research.

The pieces are generated by playing with the possibilities of digital media to create games, apps, or collective poems such as Frigomántico, an application by which participating users contribute their 50 most used words on Twitter to be mixed on a board by other users. Experimentation is also carried out with specific audiences such as the Umbrales project, a result of the workshops given to psychiatric patients of the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Among the downloadable books is a Manual de redes sociales (Manual of social networks) that is a guide with tips to learn how to optimally use the networks as well as a Manual de cultivos urbanos (Manual of urban farming) that describes, in an orderly way, the seven steps that must be carried out to cultivate vegetables. In the same space you can download the books: Metadrones, Sostiene gruñón, Tatuaje, Sea un arma, and Construcción de un robot hexápodo.

Revista 404 publishes content related to digital literature, hacktivism, techno-feminism, philosophy, aesthetics and digital media. The texts are produced by artists and professionals from different disciplines, among them: Leonardo Aranda, Mónica Nepote, Christiane Burkhard, Carolina Gainza, Carlos López Aguirre, Eurídice Cabañes among many others.
