The Digital Material Sunflower is managed by the Digital Material Central Bank, a body with 20,000 votes that administers its reserve basket according to its current set of goals and targets that are defined by invisible stakeholders. The DMS is the official currency of the Variable Network State.

Description
Spacebank is a virtual bank created in 2005 by Fran Ilich with the aim of offering the community a set of innovative and revolutionary ideas applied to banking, investment and speculation. It is specialized in financing projects of art, literature and tactical media at the intersection of theory and practice.
To open a bank account it is necessary to buy a Spacebank debit card —with a value of five dollars—, designed by Kaho Abe and Fran Ilich. The card has a unique number account, a magnetic stripe and bar code that works within the nano/macro economic system Digital Material Sunflower and the Variable Network State.
For information on the exchange rate of Digital Material Sunflower with regard to the US dollar, the Mexican peso, the Chinese yuan, the Bitcoin, Linden dollars or any other currency, you can consult the Bronx Socialist Exchange. For Mac users, it is possible to check the currency converter that comes by default in the operating system.
The bank has its own Stock Exchange Market (the Bronx Stock Exchange, formerly known as Brooklyn Stock Exchange), which was established in 2010, where only stocks of virtual companies are exchanged, but also raw materials such as coffee and Zapatist corn. Spacebank works within the economic system of the Diego de la Vega Co-op, a coffee cooperative from Chiapas which explores the organization of work and its relationship with digital solidarity agriculture.
According to Fran Ilich, Spacebank uses capitalists tools to achieve leftists goals. They have established working relationships with World Bank, The Economist, the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, Citibank, PayPal, Bitcoin, Lower East Side People's Credit Union, Paypal, Visa/ Mastercard, Second Life, etc.
