El portal web http://www.transparenciapresupuestaria.gob.mx es una iniciativa de la Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público (Secretaría) quien pone a disposición del público a través del mismo, información, herramientas y materiales útiles para aquellos sujetos interesados en la consulta y el análisis del ejercicio, destino y resultados de la aplicación de los recursos públicos.

El acceso al portal web es totalmente libre y gratuito, los usuarios no deberán registrarse para acceder al mismo; sin embargo, la consulta de la información y los materiales así como el uso de las herramientas en él disponibles implican el consentimiento por parte de los usuarios a estos términos y condiciones.

La información, herramientas y materiales contenidos en el portal web son propiedad de la Secretaría quien autoriza a los usuarios su utilización y reproducción total y/o parcial, de manera gratuita, para fines académicos, de investigación, análisis o cualquier otro similar. Description

The portal Transparencia presupuestaria [Budget Transparency portal] is the result of a commitment made by the Alianza para el Gobierno Abierto en México [Mexican Alliance of Open Government] in September 2012, with the intention of promoting projects fostering transparency and open data for development. The provision of these data in the platform responds to the international standard of Open Budget Data. The project consists in facilitating information and making it available to the citizenship, to explain how, where, who and for what public resources are spent. In the portal you can find a synoptic explanation on how the budget cycle works in seven steps: planning, programming, budgeting, monitoring, exercise and control, evaluation and accountability; each step has a brief explanation about its functioning, with the aim of facilitating the understanding of public expenditure for any person interested in the topic.

The web platform has a number of projects in which we can visualize and download open data in relation to the expenditure of the years 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 by the Federal Entity. These follow-up plans of public expenditure are presented as: open public work, educational infrastructure, monitoring resources transferred to States, performance appraisal system, and infographics. The administration responsible for its proper functioning is the Secretary of Finance and Public Credit, an entity that depends on the Federal Executive Branch and is primarily responsible for directing and controlling the economic policy of the Federal Government.
