Disruption Network Lab is an ongoing platform of events and research focused on art, hacktivism and disruption. The Laboratory takes shape through series of conference events at Studio 1, Kunstquartier Bethanien in Berlin. The Disruption Network Lab is produced by the Disruption Network Lab e.V. (gemeinnütziger eingetragener Verein), a legally registered organisation in Germany operating as a non-profit entity.
The goal of the Disruption Network Lab is to present and generate new possible routes of social and political action within the framework of hacktivism, digital culture and information technology, focusing on the disruptive potential of artistic practices. The Disruption Network Lab is a conceptual and practical zone where artists, hackers, activists, networkers, whistle-blowers and critical thinkers enter into a dialogue. The programme is developed through artistic presentations, theoretical debates and keynote events. Disruption Network Lab es una plataforma continua de eventos e investigación centrada en el arte, el hacktivismo y la disrupción desarrollada y puesta en marcha por Tatiana Bazzichelli en 2015. El Laboratorio toma forma a través de las actividades y la conferencia en Studio 1, Kunstquartier Bethanien en Berlín. Está producido por el Disruption Network Lab e.V. (Gemeinnütziger eingetragener Verein), una organización legalmente registrada en Alemania que opera como una entidad sin ánimo de lucro.
El objetivo del Disruption Network Lab es presentar y generar nuevas rutas posibles de acción social y política en el marco del hacktivismo, la cultura digital y la tecnología de la información, centrándose en el potencial disruptivo de las prácticas artísticas. El Disruption Network Lab es una zona conceptual y práctica donde los artistas, hackers, activistas, networkers, whistle-blowers y pensadores críticos entablan un diálogo. El programa se desarrolla a través de presentaciones artísticas, debates teóricos y eventos claves. La diversa serie de eventos establece asociaciones locales y translocales con otros espacios e instituciones en Berlín e internacionalmente.
El proyecto ha recibido financiamiento de: Open Society Foundations, Haupt Satdt Kultur Fonds, Der Regierender Bürgermeister von Berlin Senatskanzlei Kulturelle Angelegenheiten, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung. Sus actuales colaboradores son: Furtherfield, Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien, Spektrum, Exberliner, der Freitag, Aesthetec, Rofso.
